Anastasia Naida made a report at the international conference in Lithuania

In the period from the 14th to the 16th of September there was held the XIII International Scientific Practical Conference "Criminalistics and Forensic Expertology: science, study and practice" in Palanga, Lithuania.

Criminalists' Association of Lithuania and Forensic Science Centre of Lithuania were the organizers of the conference. The conference was divided into several sections, Kazakov and Partners was included into the section on special knowledge appliance and forensic studies use (legal expertise and non-judicial forensic studies) in the process of proving. About 100 participants from 16 countries including Italy, Czech Republic, Poland, Republic of Belarus, other European countries and the USA made reports. Anastasia Naida told about the use of non-judicial forensic studies as an instrument of proof at court by the example of the successful case from her practice.

In the course of the conference scientific problems referring to criminology and criminalistics development, difference of legislative regulation in European countries and applied problems connected with the use of special knowledge and evaluation of expert findings by courts and law enforcement officials were discussed.

Initiators suggested to create the united criminalistics space at the territory of Europe and also the unified act. At the end of the conference the participants signed the Memorandum.

The next XIV international conference on criminalistics and forensic expertology will take place in Odessa, Ukraine. From year to year the number of member countries grows and this shows the significance of problems under consideration and also active position and interest in searching of their solutions.
